Betsy Bloomingdales Couture Swag

It's been a busy week in swag and Thursday night is the new Friday! Fashionista Betsy Bloomingdale's will be opening her personal couture closet to the FIDM museum this month and an event was held this evening to commemorate the exhibit. This evenings festivites took place on the 2nd floor of the Posh Century City Bloomingdale's. While guests mixed and mingled exclusive "Betsy Swag" was sold with the proceeds going to help The Fashion Institute. My favorites of the Betsy swag were the "High Style Catalog" A 52 page exhibition catalogue filled with historical images and corresponding croquis of Mrs. Bloomingdale's fashions. It also includes a biographical essay. The catalogue highlights full color photos of the Haute Couture collection featured in the exhibition. Authored by Co-Curators Kevin Jones and Christina Johnson; AND the limited edition "Betsy Bag" with a handmade flower of silk duppione and iridescent taffeta. The embroidered floral design was created by Olivia Lopez. Shop your own Betsy Swag!

Maria Shrivers Womans Conference

Where do I begin, First Lady Maria Shriver, Katie Couric, Madeleine Albright, Ariana Huffington, Alicia Keys, Tipper Gore; all dynamic woman and all speakers at the event. Inspirational is the only adjective to describe what took place under the roof at the Long Beach Convention Center this last Monday and Tuesday. Talk about swag when ladies weren't busy in their prospective sessions learning how to take over the world, they were mixing and mingling on the trade floor with brands like Target, Mattel and Lean Cuisine. The trade floor looked more like a scene out of Aladdin with charming Moroccan tents scattered about. Mattel had lovely models walking about dressed like actual Barbies in ballroom gowns. Target's booth, one of the busiest replicated a chic VIP section of a club in their modern red and white; while woman got pampered to free manicures and make-overs. Quote of the event "There is a special place in hell for woman that don't help other woman!" unbelievably- Madeleine Albright
(about the pic....Yes, It's Sir Richard Branson....sometimes I have to smile at my awesome life ;-)

Delicious Marciano Swag

Yummy and adorable....check out this delicious little Marciano Stiletto! So cute I didn't want to eat it. There is something very basic and fun that appeals to me about custom chocolate. Of course it's delicious and I want to devour it immediately but it's often overlooked. It is literally the most inexpensive way to add an incredible classy touch to any event. A piece of custom chocolate like this is sure to create a buzz and leave an impression. You notice as badly as I love chocolate this stiletto is on the "do not eat list!"

I was lucky enough to be a VIP guest at a once a year event at The Petersen Automotive Museum. Once a year The Petersen opens what is known as "The Vault" which is The Petersen Families personal collection of exclusive and luxurious cars. Deep below the Museum in the vault, members oooh'd and ahhh'd at the one of a kind cars from automotive past. Some owned by movie stars, others straight out of famous movies like "The Grinch" (Whoville cars), and some just out of this world. Equally cool was the Petersen Swag Store located on the bottom floor of the museum. Click the image to browse the clever ideas geared toward a very specific niche....MEN! Enough swag to make a grown man giggle!

Club Monaco Swag

Club Monaco hosted an exclusive event this last Thursday night at their chic Beverly Hills Boutique. Of course the champagne and hor' dourves flowed and special guest Laurie Graham , stylist to the stars came out and spoke on how to properly dress our bodies and how to stand out as a woman in the business world day without losing your femininity.
The swag you ask? At the event we were all give a fantatisic new wrap bracelet to the Club Monaco jewelry line. Inspired by the uber luxury
Chan Luu wrap bracelets it's simply brilliant how trends trickle down.
Tip of the day: no need to reinvent the wheel, look to trends that are popular and use them for inspiration. Don't copy them, instead make them your own.

Chloe' Salon Event Hosted by Nicki Hilton

October is off to a fantastic start if swag has anything to do with it! I just came from a fabulous event at the new Chloe' store on Melrose, hosted by Nicki Hilton. Paris and the Hilton Parents also made a surprise appearance. The champagne flowed as guests shopped under the stars, it really was a perfect 80 degree LA evening.

The gift bags were faaabulous, with a Chloe' fragrance sampler and an adorable Gift With Purchase clutch. The GWP clutch is very high end in their signature "Chloe light pink" color with a suddle debossed Chloe' logo.

Chloe's new winter line is lovely. Tall, skinny super models sashayed around the store showcasing the new line. You can check it out at!
